Ed Laxton began working with Entre in 2019 as a Property Accountant for Entre’s portfolio of managed properties. Ed brings 25+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting and financial reporting.
Ed hails from Toronto, Canada where he worked for 11 years with a real estate software concern and was then hired by a client, TrizecHahn Corporation/Trizec Properties Ltd. where he provided training and implementation of accounting software for 10 years until Trizec was acquired by Brookfield Properties. Prior to being promoted to Director of Financial Systems Integration and Management, Ed transferred to Chicago in 2001 until the relocation of corporate offices to New York, when Ed then worked in their Sao Paulo Brazil offices managing a major data software conversion of real estate accounting and property management systems.
Upon Ed’s return to the US, he worked for INTUIT (MRI Software) implementing real estate accounting systems for multiple North American clients. He continued to lead implementations/data conversions for various private real estate companies in the greater Chicagoland area.
Known for accurate and timely delivery of financial reports, Ed attended York University Business Administration (BBA) and the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) programs in Toronto, Canada.
Ed resides in the western suburbs of Chicago, while also splitting time between the USA, Canada and Mexico.
